Models and prices
Sang Mon is what we build with — thick-walled, straight and strong enough for structural work. It is priced per culm and climbs with diameter; a 4–5 inch culm costs noticeably more than a 3 inch one. Tell us the diameter and the quantity and we will come back with a price and a delivery slot.
Why treat it: bamboo carries starch in its walls, and starch is what powder-post beetles eat. Untreated, a culm can be riddled within a year or two. Treatment drives the starch out and puts an insecticide in its place — a few years of difference for not much money.
Buy in quantity and the per-culm price comes down. Within 30 km of the yard delivery is free; beyond that it is charged at cost. Delivery is booked in advance and usually lands very early in the morning — six-metre lengths need empty roads.

- Once it is soaked and properly dried there is almost no smell, and it is used for indoor furniture as normal. Straight out of the tank and still damp there is a faint one — we do not deliver culms that are not dry.
