Salas are what we build most. The size that sells best is 2×2 m — comfortable for four to six people, roofed in thatch, standing on large Sang Mon culms, and small enough to lift onto a pickup in one piece. If you have more space we go to 3×3 m, or a hexagonal plan.
The bamboo is what moves the price. An economy sala in untreated bamboo starts at 4,500 THB; the same sala in bamboo treated against powder-post beetle is around 6,000 THB. Fifteen hundred baht apart, several years apart in life. If it will stand in full sun and rain, we always recommend the treated one.
Vine and wedding arches start at 400 THB and go up quickly — good for a merit ceremony, a wedding, or a climbing frame in the garden. Tell us the size and the date you need it, and we will tell you straight whether we can make it.

- How much is a 2×2 m bamboo sala?
- The economy version in untreated bamboo starts at 4,500 THB; in treated bamboo it is around 6,000 THB. Neither includes delivery — free within 30 km of our yard.
- How long does a bamboo sala last?
- In treated bamboo and under a good roof, typically seven to fifteen years. Fully exposed to sun and rain, three to five. Untreated bamboo can be attacked by beetles within one or two years.
- How long does one take to build?
- A small sala built at our yard normally takes three to seven days, depending on the queue and the weather. We give you a realistic window with the quote and send progress photos while we build.
