What customers ask us most

An economy 2×2 m bamboo sala starts at 4,500 THB; in treated bamboo it is around 6,000 THB. A market booth starts at 2,500 THB, a 1.5×2 m bamboo daybed is 550 THB, a clothes rail 350–550 THB, and a bamboo bathroom is around 25,000 THB. Fencing, bamboo walls and bamboo sold by the culm are priced on design and size — just ask. All prices exclude delivery.

Made-to-order work normally takes a deposit before we start, with the balance on delivery or after installation. We accept cash, bank transfer and PromptPay. For small items already finished at the yard, you can simply pay on collection.

Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00, closed Sunday. If a public holiday falls on a weekday or Saturday we are open as normal — we do not close for them. On LINE and Facebook you can message us any time; outside opening hours we read it and reply the next morning.

A small sala or arch built at our yard usually takes 3–7 days. Houses and on-site builds depend on size and weather — anywhere from two weeks to two months. We give you a realistic window with the quote and send progress photos throughout.

Yes — send the photo on LINE. Por Mitr will tell you how close we can get, what would need to change, and roughly what it would cost. If a design genuinely will not work in bamboo, we will say so rather than promise.

Treated bamboo under a roof and out of driving rain typically lasts 7–15 years. Fully exposed to sun and rain, expect nearer 3–5 years. Untreated bamboo can be attacked by beetles within one or two years.

The culms are soaked so the starch and sugar inside — what beetles and termites feed on — is displaced, then dried thoroughly. Once treated, insects leave it alone. The solution is standard construction grade; once the bamboo is fully dry it is fine to handle normally, though we do not recommend it for anything that holds food directly.

Dust it now and then, and never let water pool at the foot of a post. Outdoors, a coat of wood sealer or lacquer every one to two years helps a lot. If you see fine cream-coloured powder collecting under a culm, that is beetle activity — message us and we will talk you through it.

Bamboo burns like any timber. Do not put a stove or open fire near a bamboo structure. If you need a kitchen or a hot zone, we recommend a fire-resistant barrier and clearance — we can design that part with you.

Free within 30 km of our yard in Chom Thong, Chiang Mai. Beyond that, or where a truck cannot get in easily, transport is charged at actual cost. We serve Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Chiang Rai and Mae Hong Son.

No — we agree a slot with you in advance. Most deliveries arrive between 03:00 and 07:00, because bamboo pieces are long and bulky and we need empty roads to turn into a lane and unload safely. If that time does not suit you, say so and we will arrange another run.

Both. Small and medium work — salas, arches, booths, furniture — is finished at our yard and delivered, which gives a neater result and disturbs your site less. Houses, or anything too large for a truck, are built on site by the team.

A level, well-drained spot with no standing water. Power and water on site make the team’s work much easier. If you can, leave access for a pickup or small truck to reach the build point — and if that is impossible, tell us beforehand and we will plan how to carry it in.

For large projects we can commission paper drawings if you need them. More often we suggest building a small scale model instead — you can hold it, turn it and change the design on the spot. Most customers find it far easier to understand.

Yes. Repairing an old sala, replacing rotted culms, re-thatching a roof, small extensions — all welcome. Send a photo on LINE and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or worth rebuilding.
