Two sizes: a small bay of 3 × 5 m at 600 THB a day, and a medium of 4 × 7 m at 1,000 THB a day. Every tool we own is included at no extra charge. There are only two bays, so book ahead on LINE.
Consumables — cutting discs, sandpaper, bolts, screws, wire — are charged as you use them, at what we think is a fair price with nothing added on top. If you would rather not, buy your own and bring them in. That is genuinely fine with us.
One thing to read properly: a tool broken through misuse is charged at twice the current price of the same tool from the same brand. We would rather say that up front than argue about it later. If you are unsure how to use something, ask — asking is free and nobody will think less of you.
You can also hire a craftsman to work alongside you at 800 THB per person per day, and choose the trade: bamboo, wood, steel, solar panels or solar batteries. They have the run of our tools too.
Common questions about this
- What does a bay cost, and do I need to book?
- A 3 × 5 m bay is 600 THB a day, a 4 × 7 m bay is 1,000, both including the use of our tools. There are only two bays, so book ahead on LINE or you may find them taken.
- What happens if I break a tool?
- If it broke through misuse, twice the current price of the same tool from the same brand. If it simply wore out, nothing — that one is on us. If you are not sure how a tool works, ask first and neither of us pays.
- What trades can I hire?
- Bamboo, wood, steel, solar panels and solar batteries, at 800 THB per person per day. Tell us in advance which trade and what the job is, and we will send the person whose hands suit it.
- How are consumables charged?
- By what you actually use, at a price we think is fair and with nothing added on top. If you would rather not, bring your own — no problem at all.
