We price by the square metre, and the rate varies a great deal with the design. Split-bamboo panels on a timber frame are the cheapest; a wall of full culms laid tight — where every culm has to be matched for diameter — costs several times more, in both material and labour. Tell us the run length, the height and the style you want and we will quote free.
Fencing takes rain all year, so we treat the bamboo as standard and lift the foot of the fence clear of the ground. Standing water at the base is why most bamboo fences fail from the bottom up.
If you already have a fence and only want the panels changed, or you want a galvanised steel frame clad in bamboo, we do both. Send a photo of the spot and the run length on LINE and we can usually price it without visiting.

- How long does a bamboo fence last?
- A fence is fully exposed, so it has a shorter life than anything under a roof — typically three to five years in treated bamboo, and longer if the base stays out of standing water and it gets re-coated now and then.
