Room: starting size
- Width 2.2–2.5 m
- Length 2.5–3 m
Room posts: ground to floor
- 60–100 cm
Front verandah
- As wide as the room
- 1.8–2 m deep
- Usually placed along the front of the room
Side verandah
- Runs the combined length of the room plus the front verandah
- Extra space outside the room that widens the sheltered area and makes the verandah L-shaped
- Any width you like
Verandah floor height
- Level with the room floor
- Or lower than the room floor, to terrace the two levels
- The front, right and left edges of the verandah can each be:
- A railing
- Relaxed seating with a backrest
- An open slatted shelf edged with split bamboo or whole culms
- An open entry, so you can sit with your legs hanging
- An entry with a small side-hinged gate and railing along the rest

- 10–15 cm wider than the door or the verandah entry
- 3–5 bamboo treads, depending on the verandah height

- 3,500 THB per square metre of usable floor
- Example
- The room, 2.2 × 2.8 m, has 6.16 sq m
- The front verandah, 2.2 × 2.2 m, has 4.84 sq m
- Total 6.16 + 4.84 = 11.00 sq m, priced at 38,500 THB
- For course participants
- The course is 18,000 THB per person for 10 days, with free lodging — a bamboo house fan room with mosquito nets and basic bedding — and three northern meals a day cooked by Mae Tim
- Buy the finished piece at 80% of the normal price: 30,800 THB
Delivery and installation
- From 2,500 THB within 100 km, where a truck and trailer can reach the site
- Other conditions may cost more
